Teachers are responsible for strategically imparting education and knowledge to students at the secondary and tertiary levels. TET after B.Ed is a mandatory qualification for teaching in all Government Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, DSSSB, and Army/Air Force Schools. B.Ed. is a teaching degree program that allows you to teach grades 6 through 12. This course has a two-year duration.

Students who have completed their B.Ed may be eligible to apply for CTET or TET exam 2022 .The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the CTET Exam 2021 eligibility criteria. Candidates who passed the B.Ed exam and previously applied for CTET paper II can now apply for both papers — Paper-I and Paper-II.

Criteria for Eligibility for the TET Exam or CTET:

Paper I of the CTET (For Primary Teacher)

Candidates with a "Graduation with at least 45 percent – 50 percent marks and passed or are currently enrolled in a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)" are now eligible to teach in Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Paper-II of the CTET ( For Secondary Teacher) Graduation with at least 45 percent – 50 percent marks and passing or appearing in a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.Ed. (Special Education) or four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or BA/B.Sc.Ed. or BA.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. All candidates must complete a degree program in addition to other educational requirements. Candidates who have completed their class 12 board examination and have a D.El.Ed. degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45) are is eligible.

Candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline and have completed a two-year D.El.Ed programprogramme. Candidates with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in their class 12 board exam and who have completed a four-year B.El.Ed programme. Candidates who have passed the class 12 board exam with a minimum aggregate score of 50% and completed a 2-year D.El.Ed programogramme in Special Education are also eligible to take the exam.

Candidates who have completed their graduation and obtained a minimum aggregate score of 50% on the qualifying exam, as well as a valid B.Ed. degree, are also eligible to take the exams. Candidates preparing for the Teachers Eligibility Test who are unsure about the exam pattern for either TET or CTET. It is important to note that there are no differences between the two exams. TET and CTET are both offline examinations that use an OMR-based sheet.

All questions are in multiple-choice format, and candidates have 212 hours to answer 150 questions. Each of the 150 questions is worth one point. There are no negative points for any of the questions. Both the CTET and TET exams consist of two papers that determine the classes that the candidates will teach. The positions and packages offered to candidates who pass CTET and TET are based on their experience and skills gained over the years.

However, the major differences that arise after taking the CTET or TET examinations are determined by the type of government schools where candidates will be offered positions. Candidates who take the CTET exams will be offered jobs in schools run solely by the Central Government, whereas candidates who take one of the State TET exams will be offered jobs in specific state government-run schools.
